Our last senior design Zoom meeting. This is a photo of our awesome senior design team. The project is into two parts: firmware design (Grant Udstrand and Jacob Cantrell) and analog design (Owen Roe, Li-Sha Lim, and Joe Bajda). All the students attend the weekly MagiCoil meeting with other team members from Dr. Wang’s group, to learn overall progress from the mechanical design and software built up, and get feedback from the requirements on the circuits part.
Congratulations! We wish you success in all your future endeavors!

MagiCoil team welcomes new members from Computer Science Department: Ying Lu and Zihe Li. They will assist in the MagCoil device user app and desktop software development.
In our recenlty published paper, we reported the MPS-based detection of Influenza A Virus subtype H1N1. Using MPS and the self-assembly of MNPs, we were able to detect as low as 44 nM (4.4 pmole) H1N1 nucleoprotein. This advancement opens a door to the virus dianostics using our MPS technology.
MagiCoil team welcomes 2020 Spring Senior Design team: Jacob Cantrell, Joe Bajda, Grant Udstrand, Li-Sha Lim, Owen Roe. Their Electrical Engineering background will contribute to improve the current circuit board design.
MagiCoil team welcomes new members from Mechanical Engineering Department: Natas Seekaew and Long Nguyen. They will assist in the manufacture of device shell and coil molds.

The MagiCoil team welcomes new team members: James Schealler, Ryan Billmeyer, Arturo Di Girolamo, and Jeremy Wood. They will take over the circuit board design and further optimize the system.
The MagiCoil team welcomes new team members: Will Davies, Sanjit Nagesh, and Eric Heidal. Their computer science background will help us in developing user interface to work seamlessly with the hardware part.
Hello World!
The Electrical Engineering senior design team: Abilash Nair, Leonard Yu, Jackie Zamow, Nuraqilah Hanis Abd Ghani, and Wes Oldenburg are joining the MagiCoil team to make the MagiCoil v.1.0 handheld device possible. They will apply their skills in circuit board design in developing a point-of-care device.
The Mechanical Engineering students: Nurul Farina binti Mazlan and Adam Wall will take care of the device structure design using their skills in 3D modeling and 3D printing.
